We have JUST started using mvelopes, and Im trying to figure out how to handle transactions that are in my New Transaction folder, but the money that covered them was already taken from the account prior to the initial download into Mvelopes. Its just a matter of timing, so Im thinking that I should just delete them, but was reading in some other posts about people have regret for deleting a transaction that they probably shouldnt have.
Thoughts?

You have 2 options. As you have already figured out, you can just delete them since they were already accounted for in the initial balance Mvelopes imported. The other option is to edit the starting balance of the account affected, fund the envelopes the transactions represent with the exact amounts of the transactions, and then assign the transactions to the envelopes.
So for instance lets say Mvelopes originally downloaded a starting balance of $1000 for your checking account. You have already funded your envelopes with the $1000 for things you will need to purchase before your next funding cycle. Now you have 2 new transactions totaling $100 - $70 from grocery shopping and $30 for gas, but these transactions had already been taken out of the account when Mvelopes downloaded the $1000 starting balance. If you wanted to keep these transactions, you would need to edit the starting balance of your checking account to be $1100. Now there will be $100 additional in the income cash pool. Use that $100 to fund the grocery envelope with $70 extra and the gas envelope with $30 extra. Then simply drag and drop the new transactions in to the grocery and gas envelopes.
The advantage to the second method is that you will have a little more historical data when making future spending plans and funding decisions. Which method you use is totally up to you. Personally, for the few transactions which are likely to be affected, I would just delete them. But it will only take a few minutes to use the second method if you want the historical data.
