Use Finicity Money Manager
I hesitated to use Finicity Money Manager for about 1 year. Because I am single I do not have that many bills coming any Here are few things I have to pay for:
Rent, Cell phone bill, Internet fee, Monthly fee for Gym membership are required and rest of the stuff is really optional. I had Bank of America and Wells Fargo accounts. I have Bank of America Credit, Checking and Savings account. I do direct deposit to my Savings account and checking. So I keep my savings in my savings account and only spend money from my checking. That way I do not overspend and still have savings money towards something big like House or a car. So anyhow I thought managing my money through my online banking service was gonna be okay. But, I was wrong, still there were many things I was overspending on such as clothes and eating out. Since I am single I love to spend some money on expensive clothes like Banana Republic and GAP etc and eating out with friends was irresistable, so I end up spending so much on those and later found out that my credit card is in trouble and I take money from my savings and make a payment.
What I suggest is find out exactly how much you spent on such expenses and cut the cost. I am not saying do not spend on eating out and shopping. I am saying make a plan on when to spend on those and how much not just randomly spending on those. Banana republic and Gap outlet stores are so much cheaper than the ones in the mall. So now I plan and when I need to buy clothes I put a date on my calendar to go outlet malls and get huge savings. When I eat out unless I am planned to eat out on my calendar like on friday nights I simply tell my friends I am sorry I do not have time to eat out with them because I have other things planned on my calendar. So this way I am not turning off my friends I still hang out with them but at planned time.
