My fiancée and I were transitioning from a life as students to the working world. Our total income had increased dramatically, but we started arguing about money (before there was none to argue about). The effects have been fantastic. This has allowed us to focus more on relating to one another in a more peaceful, Godly way. Our talks about money have become productive. We have learned to save for an expense in advance of the need, which is very empowering. We have learned patience instead of instant gratification, and to prioritize our wants and our needs. I feel we are much better stewards of our financial blessings and have been able to consistently give to our church and other ministries.
